New SUTP Factsheet in the Series “Implementing the New Urban Agenda (iNUA)”

New SUTP Factsheet in the Series “Implementing the New Urban Agenda (iNUA)”

In October 2016, country and city representatives in Quito agreed on the New Urban Agenda (NUA), paving the way for sustainable urban development. GIZ-SUTP participates in the implementation of the NUA by publishing a series of factsheets addressed to politicians and pratitioners.

These documents are intended to give mayors and decision-makers an overview of the rationale and practicability of the presented tool, measure or strategic approach. This is followed by practical recommendations on how to initiate implementation and further selected sources on the specific issue.

The second SUTP iNUA factsheet is available and focuses on the topic of cycling as a comprehensive solution to mobility challenges and to poor environment and health conditions in cities. Furthermore, the paper offers concrete and appropriate means to support cycling for policy-makers, planners and interested citizens.
